These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of “JumpHigh” (the “Service”), a high-jump form analysis service provided by the JumpHigh Project (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to all of these Terms. The Service is currently offered as a limited beta and its contents may change without notice.
Definitions
“User” means any individual who uses the Service having agreed to these Terms. “Content” means videos and other data that a User uploads to the Service.
The Service
The Service analyzes high-jump videos captured on smartphones and similar devices, and presents estimated results for posture, phases, and various metrics. The Service provides technical reference information only; it does not constitute professional coaching or medical advice, nor does it guarantee any competitive outcome.
Part of the cost of operating the Service is funded by advertising. Ads are shown on the analysis progress screen only, and are not shown on the upload, trimming, results, or sign-in screens. See Section 8 of the Privacy Policy for details.
Quality of Results and Disclaimer
We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any analysis results produced by the Service. Results are AI-generated estimates and may contain errors. You interpret and use the results at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any decision or action taken based on them.
Handling of Uploaded Videos
Videos you upload are stored and processed only to the extent necessary to run the analysis. Source videos are automatically deleted about 24 hours after upload (up to 48 hours depending on the deletion cycle) and analysis results after about 30 days (up to 31 days); you can also request deletion at any time from the history screen (normally completed immediately; if an analysis is running, deletion completes automatically after it finishes — see the Privacy Policy). Use for model retraining occurs only if you individually opt in at upload time. You represent that you hold the necessary rights to the videos you upload and that you have obtained the consent of the individuals appearing in them (or their guardian for minors). There is no age restriction on using the service for analysis only. However, opting in to model retraining or to research / third-party sharing is limited to users 18 years of age or older. If you are a minor, please use the analysis features without selecting those opt-ins.
Use of Data for Research
To advance high jump and sports biomechanics, we may provide uploaded data to research institutions or other third parties, or use it for research, after processing it into a form that does not identify any individual. However, such sharing occurs only if you individually opt in at upload time, and this opt-in is independent of the model-retraining opt-in in the previous section (both default to off). Such data will not include information that directly identifies a person, such as name or contact details.
Prohibited Conduct
When using the Service, you must not:
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks (DoS/DDoS), impose excessive load, or otherwise interfere with the operation of the Service;
- Attempt cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL injection or similar attacks, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to improperly obtain the source code of the Service;
- Upload videos that infringe the portrait rights, copyrights, privacy, or other rights of third parties;
- Repeatedly click the ads displayed to you, encourage others to click them, generate ad impressions or clicks by automated means, or otherwise violate the program policies of the advertising provider;
- Engage in any conduct that violates laws or public order, or that we deem inappropriate.
Changes, Suspension, and Termination
The Service is a limited beta. We may change its contents, perform maintenance, or temporarily suspend or terminate it without prior notice. We are not liable for any damage to Users or third parties arising from such actions.
Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights in the Service and its related software, design, and text belong to us or the rightful owners. You retain copyright in the videos you upload, but you grant us a license to use them within the scope set out in these Terms (analysis, quality improvement, and anonymized use for research).
Personal Information
The Service uses a username and password for identity verification and history retention. Collection, use, retention, and deletion of personal information are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant its availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be free of errors or interruptions. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damage arising in connection with your use of the Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms as necessary. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page, and your continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our location as the court of first instance.
